A little bit about us..

Set the scene: The year is 2019 and an ambitious Iowa State Apparel grad packed her things and moved to Kansas City for what she thought would be a fun, corporate, buying job. Boy, was she wrong. After a horrible 2-month experience (yes, you read that right), she made the brave move to quit her *dream* job with nothing lined up (scary, we know). Queue, the1997box. It all began as a fun side hobby, and quickly grew into her true dream job. The1997box was built from a love of all things sustainable, with a smidge of passion for style + female empowerment. What better mix is there?
